Maile Dekheko Darbar is written by Bibek Kumar Shah. Bibek is Ex-Army of Nepal. He wrote this book on his life experience with the Royal Palace. Shah has taken quite a risk revealing many confidential matters of Nepal Army and Palace in his book. The book evolved from the diaries that he maintained when he served in the Nepal Army, particularly Narayanhiti Palace for more than three decades.
The book touches on the controversies surrounding the royal massacre of June 1, 2000 and involvement of Indian government in training Maoist guerrillas during the insurgency. The book also claims that the royal massacre unfolded as a result of a political conspiracy.
